WINDOW INSTALLATIONS
Window installations vary significantly from project to project. While some existing windows are embedded into the wall and difficult to remove, others are exposed and are easier to remove. Customers should expect fine dust particles to permeate their home during the removal and installation process. This is a natural and unavoidable consequence of remodeling.
In anticipation of window and/or door replacement/installation, homeowners can make the following preparations: move furniture away from openings, have security systems temporarily disconnected by their alarm company, and leave driveway open to allow access to company vehicles.
A typical 3-bedroom, 2-bath home may take 2-3 days to complete a typical installation. Due to unforeseen circumstances, including (but not limited to): hidden damage (i.e. rotten wood/internal wall leaks) & inclement weather, this timeline may be altered as a result.
BUILDING INSPECTIONS
Every window/door installation, once completed, requires certification by an inspector of the corresponding municipality. The homeowner is required to be at the home at the time of this inspection.
The inspection is carried out to ensure that all work was done in accordance with the South Florida Building Code and matches the specific product approval documentation submitted to the corresponding municipality.
